The Perfect Bite - Ham Cocktail Balls

These have everything you want in a cocktail bite...Crispy, Moist, Salty, Double-Porky,

Sweet n' Tangy, Sticky. Just. Plain. Good! Perfect for the upcoming holidays, this is a must try!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground ham

  • 1 lb. ground pork

  • 2/3 C. good quality crackers, crushed into medium crumbs

  • 1/2 C. milk

  • 1/4 C. chopped onion

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

  • dash of cayenne pepper

Mustard Glaze:

  • 1/2 C. brown sugar

  • 1-1/2 T. prepared mustard

  • 2 T. orange juice

  • 1/4 C. cider vinegar

  • splash of good quality bourbon

How to make:

Mix the ground ham and ground pork in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients (minus the mustard glaze ingredients). Form into bite-sized balls. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, covered.

Meanwhile, whisk glaze ingredients together. After 30 minutes, uncover ham balls, pour glaze over, and bake another 30 minutes, basting glaze over ham balls occasionally.

Serve with your favorite bourbon cocktail.
